Orange Shirt Day

The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, originally and still colloquially known as Orange Shirt Day, is a Canadian day of memorial to recognize the atrocities and multi-generational effects of the Canadian Indian residential school system. It occurs every year on September 30.

As a school, we recognized and honoured this day on Friday, September 26th, with in-class activities and the painting of rocks during Dolphin Strong for a Truth and Reconciliation Garden we plan to create in the spring.

Almost all students wore orange - thank you for your commitment and support to making the world a better place for all children.
